The fact that most artists live in an ego-centered universe while subliminally controlled by collectively conscious exploitive practices on the part of conglomerates makes it difficult to address problems where and when the need is most pronounced. It's been said that drug use expands one's state of consciousness. That is something I can agree with; however, the user typically is not paying attention to the often more costly side effects: the time spent attempting to achieve and regain that state.
